Store Policy and FAQs

We  reserve the right to make changes to our site, Policies, and Terms & Conditions at any time. If any of these policies and conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

 

Shipping & Delivery

We ship worldwide, however for certain countries we may request a certain payment method, please see detail in the "Payment, Pricing & Promotions" section.

We currently use Canada Post, UPS, Fedex, Purolator, TNT, USPS to ship out online order, you can choose desired shipping method at the time of the checkout. We currently do not offer local pickup.

The calculated shipping cost includes actual shipping cost and handling charge. We reserve the right to adjust the shipping cost if it is overcharged or undercharged. Meanwhile, please feel free to contact us if you find any problem. We also reserve the right to substitue the shipping method you choosed with a comparable or higher service level to meet the shipping need. For example we may use courier such as Purolator or UPS instead of Canada Post for certain shipments. Please contact us before place your order if you specifically want a certain method and do not want alertnatives.

Returns & Warranty

Returns:

We try our best to provide customer quality products and services. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchases, please contact our customer service at our Online Helpdesk. We would like the opportunity to work with you to solve your issues and ensure your satisfaction. However, in the case of you still wish to return your item, here are a few things you should know:

  • You must request the RA (Return Authroization) from our Online Helpdesk within 15 calendar days from the day you receive the package.
  • You are responsible for shipping the item(s) back to us and for the costs associated with that shipment.
  • Shipping charge is non-refundable, all returns must be unopened and in its orginal condition.
  • Please pack the products properly and ship back return with tracking number. We are NOT responsible for any package lost or damaged during shipping.
  • Due to Volatile market, returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee unless agreement made before the return.
  • We do not offer return for certain products which are offered "as is" or "Non-returnable".
  • Returns from U.S.A. must indicate the returned product as a defective return and declare product value on the customs form ($5 value) otherwise we may refuse the return due to customs and brokerage fees.
  • The above return & warranty policy is only for US & Canadian buyers. International buyers other then US & Canada must get warranty from corresponding manufacturer. We do not offer warranty replacement or return for international buyer due to high shipping cost.

Warranty Repair / Replacement:

We offer 90 days store warranty on most of our NEW products and 30 days warranty on refurbished / open box / used products unless specified. New products also carry corresponding manufacturer warranty, please contact manufacture for detail warranty information.

Please contact our customer service at our Online Helpdesk to request warranty repair / replacement.

Limited Warranty

BTE Computer warrants to the original purchaser that any part of the hardware system excluding software, documentation and similar items will be free of defects in workmanship and materials for the period of your warranty from the date of delivery. During the warranty period, BTE Computer will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, the defective hardware, free of charge for labor and parts. You are responsible for shipping the item(s) back to BTE Computer and for the costs associated with that shipment. However, you may be charged for $25 labor fee plus return shipping charge if the returns found to be non-defective. The remedy for this breach of warranty is limited to replacement or repair with parts warranted for the longer of thirty (30) days or the remainder of the warranty period. Any additional purchases or upgrades will not extend this warranty. Excluded from this warranty is any damage caused during shipment (except the shipment to the original purchaser) and any damage caused by: impacts, fluids, fire, flood, wind, earthquake, lightning or similar disaster, unauthorized modifications, attachments or peripherals, improper use, environment, installation or electrical supply, improper maintenance, any other misuse, abuse, or mishandling. BTE Computer's sole liability, under this warranty, for failure to repair or replace the hardware system after a reasonable number of attempts is limited to replacement or, at BTE Computer's sole discretion, refund of the current market price. The above constitutes purchaser's exclusive remedies for breach of warranty. BTE Computer shall, under no circumstances, be liable for any other damages, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential and other similar claims whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, absolute or strict liability, or any other similar theories. Damages excluded include but are not limited to: loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of use of the hardware system, loss of use of related equipment, cost of substitute or replacement equipment, down-time, purchaser's time, injury to property, and all claims of third parties.

BTE Computer will not be responsible for consequential damage to the boards or the system or any of its components caused by either internal or external equipment, shorted connections or components not installed by or purchased from BTE Computer. BTE Computer will also not be responsible for damages to any components or loss of any data inadvertently caused by products, under normal or abnormal use, purchased from BTE Computer. The limited warranty also does not cover damages or defects that may have been caused by: Shipping damage(other than the original shipment), improper installation or maintenance, misuse, neglect or improper environment, repair, modification, adjustment, or installation of options or parts not by an BTE Computer employee, inadequate or excessive electrical power surges, or other power irregularities. BTE Computer will also not replace, repair, or refund on any purchase if the item serial numbers do not match, or if the product is not sold directly by BTE Computer.

Manufacturer Warranty


Manufacturers often offer additional warranty for their products. Manufacturer warranty infomation is provided us by suppliers / manufacturers and we list them solely as supplemental product information. We are trying our best to make this information as accurate as possible but unfortunately due to massive product information and constant policy changing from manufacturer it may not always be 100% accurate. We encourage customers contact the perspective manufacturer to verify warranty information before making the purchase or after warranty with BTE Computer expires. BTE Computer should assume no responsibility from any discrepancy for warranty information.
Customers may also pay BTE Computer a service fee ($25 per item) plus shipping to have such warranty work completed through BTE Computer

Warranty Forfeiture

Warranty is not granted if a product is returned without original invoice. Warranty is void if serial tags, receiving numbers, product stickers, or manufacturer seals have been removed, altered or tampered with. Warranty is void if mishandling, improper use, or defacing of the product that would normally void manufacturer's warranty has occurred. Products damaged due to improper or inadequate packaging when returned for RMA purposes are not granted warranty coverage.

Payment from US & Canada Customer

We accept Paypal, Visa / Master Card, Money Order, Email Money Transfer ( Canadian user only). Wire Transfer for US & Canadian customers.

Payment from International Buyer

We accept Western Union Money Order, Wire Transfer or Paypal, Visa / Master Card (under certain condition) for international buyers.

Pricing & Promotions

BTE Computer and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, BTE Computer does not warrant that product pricing, specfication or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by BTE Computer itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.

Promotions will be offered on certain products at certain time, however it's BTE Computer's sole discretion to valid, cancelled or extend the promotion at any time.

Tax Information

If your orders are to be delivered in ON, BC, NB, NS, NF, the 13% HST ( BC 12%, NS 15%) will be applied to your purchases on this website. If your orders are to be delivered in Canadian provinces other than above provinces, only 5% of GST will apply to your purchases on this website.

If your orders are to be delivered to US or other countries other than Canada, no tax will be charged on this website. However, other tax may be applied to you at the time of delivery under some regional laws and regulations.

13% HST is applicable to all shipping charges.

Coupon

Coupons are given out in conjunction with a given promotional event. Rules on how to get coupons and the usage of coupons will be specified in the rules of each promotional event. The face value of the coupon will be directly deducted from the order total when members use the coupon.

BTE Computer will launch a series of promotion campaigns. Coupons will be given out for each promotion. Coupon eligibility will be based on the rules of each specific promotion.

Rules for Coupon Use

  • Coupons can only be used within the period indicated on each coupon.
  • Coupons can not be combined with other special offers or promotions.
  • Coupns doesn't have any cash value.
  • Coupons can only be used on orders whose total are greater than the value of the order. For example, $50 coupons can only be used on orders whose value is $50.01 and above.
  • Each coupon can only be used once per registered customer account.

  • How do I get coupons?
    We will offer coupons via email to newsletter subscribers once it's available. Please join our newsletter for getting prompt coupon information.
  • What type of items can I use my coupons on?
    Coupons can be used on any regularly priced item.
  • Can I give my coupon to someone else?
    No. Coupons can only be used by the registered customers; all coupons are non-transferable.
