BTE Computer Inc. (BTEcomputer.com) reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and Conditions of Use at any time. If any of these policies and conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.


Policies

1. Shippping Policies.

For Orders in Canada & US:

We have adapted Canada Post / UPS / Purolator 's online shipping mudule to determine the shipping cost according to the item weight, dimension and delivery method. Please refer to the following picture on how to get Shipping Estimate.



The total cost of shipping is including shipping, handling, insurance and signature charges. The calculated shipping cost may vary from the actual shipping cost. BTEcomputer reserve the right to adjust the shipping cost if it is much overcharged or undercharged. Meanwhile, please feel free to contact us if you find any problem.

BTEcomputer also reserve the right to substitue the shipping method you choosed with a comparable or higher service level to meet the shipping need. For example we may use courier such as Purolator or UPS instead of Canada Post for certain shipments. Please contact us if you specifically want a certain method and do not want alertnatives.

For Orders other than Canada & US:

We also ship to anywhere around the world if the payment is by Western Union Money Order or T/T Wire Transfer. Please note we do not take paypal or credit cards payment for international orders due to security reasons.

Shipping Lost or Shipping Damage.

All items purchased from BTE Computer Inc. will be shipped with insurance and signature (if applicable) options. Therefore BTE Computer will claim lost or damage on a package on your behalf once a problem arise. However, the claim process may take longer than you expected since the process will totally depend on the shipping company's customer service department.

Item damaged during the shipping must be reported to BTE Computer within 3 days from the day the pacakge arrive otherwise BTE Computer will not be able to process your claim.

2. Return Policies:

We try our best to provide customer quality products and services. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchases, please contact us by email or phone at 905-480-0618. We would like the opportunity to work with you to solve your issues and ensure your satisfaction. However, in the case of you still wish to return your item, here are a few things you should know:

- You must submit a RA (Return Authroization) Form via email within 7 days from the date you received the products.
- You are responsible for shipping the item(s) back to BTE Computer Inc. and for the costs associated with that shipment.
- It is important that you return everything on your order in its original conditiaon and packaging.
- Customer must package the products properly. BTE Computer is NOT responsible for any damage to the products during transit by the shipping company. Damaged items are not eligible for warranty or money back guarantee. All electronic parts should be wrapped in anti-static plastic bags and shock-resistant bubble-wrap. There should be at least one inch of cushing material such as peanuts between the item and the walls of the box.
- We suggest that customers obtain a receipt of any packages shipped back to us. BTE Computer Inc. is NOT responsible for any package lost during shipping.
- Returns will be subject to a 25% restocking fee unless special agreement made before the purchase.
- Once your return is accepted, a refund or a company credit note will be issued to you.

2. Warranty:

Please contact our tech support team first by email or phone at 905-480-0618 or fax to 905-480-9597 to determine whether the item is indeed defective before shipping. Then make an Return Authorization (RA) request.

Limited Warranty

BTE Computer Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that any part of the hardware system excluding software, documentation and similar items will be free of defects in workmanship and materials for the period of your warranty from the date of delivery. During the warranty period, BTE Computer Inc. will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, the defective hardware, free of charge for labor and parts for the first year. You are responsible for shipping the item(s) back to BTE Computer Inc. and for the costs associated with that shipment. However, you may be charged for $25 labor fee if the returns found to be non-defective. The remedy for this breach of warranty is limited to replacement or repair with parts warranted for the longer of thirty (30) days or the remainder of the warranty period. Any additional purchases or upgrades will not extend this warranty. Excluded from this warranty is any damage caused during shipment (except the shipment to the original purchaser) and any damage caused by: impacts, fluids, fire, flood, wind, earthquake, lightning or similar disaster, unauthorized modifications, attachments or peripherals, improper use, environment, installation or electrical supply, improper maintenance, any other misuse, abuse, or mishandling. BTE Computer Inc.'s sole liability, under this warranty, for failure to repair or replace the hardware system after a reasonable number of attempts is limited to replacement or, at BTE Computer Inc.'s sole discretion, refund of the current market price. The above constitutes purchaser's exclusive remedies for breach of warranty. BTE Computer Inc. shall, under no circumstances, be liable for any other damages, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential and other similar claims whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, absolute or strict liability, or any other similar theories. Damages excluded include but are not limited to: loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of use of the hardware system, loss of use of related equipment, cost of substitute or replacement equipment, down-time, purchaser's time, injury to property, and all claims of third parties.

BTE Computer Inc. will not be responsible for consequential damage to the boards or the system or any of its components caused by either internal or external equipment, shorted connections or components not installed by or purchased from BTE Computer Inc.. BTE Computer Inc. will also not be responsible for damages to any components or loss of any data inadvertently caused by products, under normal or abnormal use, purchased from BTE Computer Inc.. The limited warranty also does not cover damages or defects that may have been caused by: Shipping damage(other than the original shipment), improper installation or maintenance, misuse, neglect or improper environment, repair, modification, adjustment, or installation of options or parts not by an BTE Computer Inc. employee, inadequate or excessive electrical power surges, or other power irregularities. BTE Computer Inc. will also not replace, repair, or refund on any purchase if the item serial numbers do not match, or if the product is not sold directly by BTE Computer Inc..

One-Year Warranty

All parts (except CPUs, certain OEM products, and refurbished items) come with a warranty against manufacturer defect or failure for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This warranty covers replacement of the product with the same product or like product as determined by the customer and RMA when direct replacement is unavailable.

30-Day Warranty

Certain OEM products and refurbished items unless specifically stated otherwise, carry an implied, industry-standard 30-Day warranty against defects due to manufacturing or failure. Warranty does not include overclocking, use of CPU without cooling fan, improper voltage, or any use of the CPU that does not fall into the designed use of the CPU as intended by the manufacturer.

3 Days DOA Warranty

All CPU's unless specifically stated otherwise, carry an implied, industry-standard 3-Day DOA warranty (from BTE) against defects due to manufacturing or failure. Warranty does not include overclocking, use of CPU without cooling fan, improper voltage, or any use of the CPU that does not fall into the designed use of the CPU as intended by the manufacturer.

Manufacturer Warranty

Manufacturers often offer additional warranty for the following products: hard drives, retail boxed CPUs, printers, scanners and monitors etc. Manufacturer warranty infomation is provided us by suppliers / manufacturers and we list them solely as supplemental product information. We are trying our best to make this information as accurate as possible but unfortunately due to massive product information and constant policy changing from manufacturer it may not always be 100% acccruate. We encourage customers contact the perspective manufacturer to verify warranty information before making the purchase or after warranty with BTE Computer Inc. expires. BTE Computer Inc. should assume no responsibility from any discrepency for warranty information.
Customers may also pay BTE Computer Inc. a service fee ($15 per item) plus shipping to have such warranty work completed through BTE Computer Inc.

All Other Warranty Coverage

Certain parts may come with extended Manufacturer's Warranty. The equipment Manufacturer honors this warranty and BTE Computer Inc. assumes no responsibility in honoring this warranty. BTE Computer Inc. will attempt to RMA a product to the manufacturer in special cases when requested by the customer. Customer assumes all shipping costs to manufacturers.

Warranty Forfeiture

Warranty is not granted if a product is received without original invoice. Warranty is void if serial tags, receiving numbers, product stickers, or manufacturer seals have been removed, altered or tampered with. Warranty is void if mishandling, improper use, or defacing of the product that would normally void manufacturer's warranty has occurred. Products damaged due to improper or inadequate packaging when returned for RMA purposes are not granted warranty coverage.

Warranty Related Shipping Costs

Customer should pay any costs in shipping to us, and BTE Computer Inc. will pay for the shipping back to the customer for products under warranty coverage.

For security reason, we will only ship to your credit card billing address unless you send us redit Card Authorization From for us to ship to an address other than your billing address. Please contact if you have such need. The credit card payment will be rejected if you can not or do not want to provide the authorization.

- Pay by Paypal:

Paypal is accept only for ship out orders and is only for US and Canada customer with Confirmed Shipping Address.
For local pickup we only accept Cash / Debit / Credit Card for the method of payment.
For Canadian who can't get confirmed shipping address and don't want to pay by echeck, we may need to verify your identity before we ship to you.

5. Tax information.

If your orders are to be delivered in Ontario, 8% PST plus 5% GST will be applied to your purchases on this website. If your orders are to be delivered in Canadian provinces other than above provinces, only 5% of GST will apply to your purchases on this website. If your orders are to be delivered in Maritime provinces (NB, NS, NF), 13% of HST will apply to your purchases on this website. If your orders are to be delivered to US or other countries other than Canada, no tax will be charged on this website. However, other tax may be applied to you at the time of delivery under some regional laws and regulations. Please contact your local tax agency for more informations.

6. Refunds and returns.

7. How to change or cancel orders after I sumbitted it.

To provide prompt and quality services, we start to process your orders as soon as you submitted them to us. Therefore, if you want to change or cancel your orders after you submitted them to us, please contact us asap. We will not charge you for cancelling the order as long as the order haven' been shipped out.
Please also noted that there may be 4% service charge for cancel the order paid by Credit Cards to cover our service expenses.

8. Do I get a tracking number for order I placed?.

Usually the tracking number will be automatically generated to your email box after we ship out the order. Please allow 2~3 days before request us a tracking number.

Please email our warehouse to request a tracking if you didn's receive the tracking number after 2~3 days.
